Z2Live, creators of the next-generation mobile games platform, announced that Big Fish Games’ “Big City Adventure: San Francisco” apps for iPhone and iPad are the first to use the Z2Live voice chat and multiplayer solutions. The popular hidden object game is immediately available on the iTunes App Store.
“Using our solution, mobile gamers can now play with and talk to their friends at the same time,” said David Bluhm, president and chief executive officer of Z2Live. “For gamers, it’s a lot more fun, and for publishers, it adds a differentiating element to their apps, helping to sell more games.”
“Adding online multiplayer and voice chat capabilities to Big City Adventure: San Francisco revolutionizes the hidden object experience,” remarked Patrick Wylie, vice president of Big Fish Games Studios. “Instead of playing solo, you can now share the fun with friends around the world as you race to find hidden objects.”
The Z2Live SDK includes the ability to send push notification invites and e-mail invitations to assist gamers with finding, connecting and playing with friends. Z2Live’s voice chat solution is based on the best-of-breed family of Global IP Solutions’ CODECs and offers multiple solutions that optimize for bit rate, CPU load and error correction. Depending on the application’s overall performance requirements, Z2Live supports voice chat over WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G and EDGE network connections.
Z2Live’s SDK is available at www.Z2Live.com.
